Descrizione:2-(Chloromethyl)naphthalene is a cyclic peptide that can be used as an inhibitor for corrosion. It binds to alkyl amines and prevents the formation of corrosive products in the presence of hydrogen peroxide, thus preventing corrosion. 2-(Chloromethyl)naphthalene has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. The photophysical properties of 2-(chloromethyl)naphthalene are dependent on its intramolecular hydrogen bonding and halide protonation. 2-(Chloromethyl)naphthalene isomers exhibit different molecular structures, which may affect their functionalities.
