Informazioni sul prodotto
- Pyridine, 3-Chloro-2-Iodo-
3-Chloro-2-iodopyridine is an electrophilic compound that is soluble in organic solvents. It is used in the synthesis of heterocycles, such as N-trifluoromethyl substituted pyridines and quinolines. 3-Chloro-2-iodopyridine can be produced by reacting vinyl ethers with trifluoroacetyl chloride and magnesium. The reaction proceeds via an enamine intermediate, which reacts with nucleophiles to produce a variety of products. For example, it can be reacted with carboxylic acids to form carboxylic acid esters or amides. It also has the ability to react with Grignard reagents and other nucleophiles at temperatures below 0°C. 3-Chloro-2-iodopyridine has a high affinity for oxygen, so it should not be stored in airtight containers or exposed to light or moisture.
