(4-(1-Cyanocyclopropyl)phenyl) boronic acid is a cancer drug. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells with high specificity, without affecting normal cells. The molecule is not metabolized in vivo and it does not have any adverse effects on bone marrow or the immune system. This drug can be administered orally and shows good pharmacokinetic properties. (4-(1-Cyanocyclopropyl)phenyl) boronic acid selectively inhibits the activity of aldehyde dehydrogenase enzymes, which are responsible for converting aldehydes into carboxylic acids, preventing their accumulation and reducing cellular damage.
