Descrizione:Cyclooctanone is a quinoline derivative with a cyclic structure. It can be synthesized by reacting ethyl acetoacetate with hydrogen chloride in the presence of an amine catalyst. Cyclooctanone is a substrate for films and conformational properties, as well as being capable of forming hydrogen bonds. This compound has been shown to have steric interactions that depend on the size of substituents on the ring. Cyclooctanone has a polycarboxylic acid hydroxyl group and an amide bond. The activation energy for this compound's reaction is 21 kJ/mol and it has a macrocyclic structure. Cyclooctanone has a nmr spectrum that contains peaks at δ 3.5-3.8 ppm, δ 7.2-7.6 ppm, δ 10-10.5 ppm, δ 12-12.5 ppm, and δ 13-13.5 ppm.
