a-Carboline is an organic molecule that has been shown to have a variety of biological effects. It is reactive, has photophysical properties, and can form stable complexes with water vapor. Studies have shown that a-carboline can be used as a substrate molecule for the transfer reactions of proton and hydrogen bonding interactions. It has been shown to have tissue culture activity in inflammatory bowel disease and autoimmune diseases. In addition, it can create stable complexes with hydroxyl groups and water vapor.
