The stability of this drug is due to its chemical structure, which prevents it from undergoing hydrolysis by esterases or glucuronidases. Carboxyphosphamide has been shown to be effective against autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis. This drug also inhibits the production of enzymes such as cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and lipoxygenase (LOX).
