Descrizione:Cyclopentyl chloride is a cyclic organic compound that is prepared by the asymmetric synthesis of chlorocyclopentane. Cyclopentyl chloride has immunosuppressive activities, which are due to its ability to inhibit the production of cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and interleukin-6 (IL-6). Cyclopentyl chloride also exhibits significant cytotoxicity in vivo and in vitro. It is used as a synthetic precursor for other compounds, such as cyclopentylamine and cyclohexanol. The deuterium isotope effect on the reaction with hydrochloric acid has been studied using deuterium enriched hydrochloric acid. The kinetic data for this reaction is available.
