• Descrizione: Copper sulfate is a salt of copper and sulfuric acid. It is used as an antibiotic in the treatment of bacterial infections, although it does not exhibit a bactericidal effect. Copper sulfate can be used to create a synergistic effect with other antibiotics, such as penicillin, erythromycin, tetracycline, and clindamycin. The mechanism of action for this drug is unclear but may involve disruption of membrane function by formation of pores or alteration of ion channels.
