Descrizione:Z-Cys(Bzl)-OH is a protein transferase inhibitor that binds to the enzyme and inhibits its activity. It has been shown to be effective in treating ascites tumor cells, which are activated by purine. Z-Cys(Bzl)-OH also inhibits the synthesis of amines and proteins by binding to the amino acid residues, as well as inhibiting the hydroxylation and methylation reactions. This compound is soluble in non-polar solvents such as pentachlorophenyl chloride and sodium hydroxide solution.
Z-Cys(Bzl)-OH is not active against neutral or basic amines, such as histamine, tyramine, tryptamine, octopamine, dopamine, acetylcholine or serotonin.
