Cis-1,2-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid is a metabolite of hippuric acid, which is produced by the human liver. Hippuric acid may be used for cancer therapy because it is a good substrate for radiation and can inhibit tumor growth. This molecule has two enantiomers: cis and trans.
