Descrizione

Capsaicin is a natural compound found in chili peppers, which can be used for the treatment of obesity. Capsiate is a synthetic form of capsaicin that has similar effects on energy metabolism and metabolic disorders. This substance has been shown to have hypoglycemic effects in vitro assays. The mechanism of action is through the activation of signal pathways that lead to increased glucose uptake by adipose cells and increased insulin sensitivity, as well as by increasing the release of fat from adipose tissue. Capsiate also reduces inflammation and oxidative stress. Benzalkonium chloride (BZK) is an organic compound with a bactericidal effect against Gram-positive bacteria such as staphylococcus and streptococcus. It has been used in clinical pathology to reduce bacterial contamination on skin or wounds during surgery, but it can cause serious side effects such as kidney damage when applied topically or inhaled, or when ingested orally.
