Descrizione

1-(Chloroacetyl)pyrrolidine is an organic solvent that is used in the synthesis of other chemicals. It has been shown to irreversibly inhibit thrombin activity by forming a covalent bond with the active site of the enzyme. This reaction is reversible and can be reversed by adding a base such as tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane (Tris). 1-(Chloroacetyl)pyrrolidine reacts with amines, carbonyl groups, and syncytial tissues to form reactive compounds. These reactions are usually uncoupled with metals such as copper or iron ions or acylated with chloride, nitro, phosphorus oxychloride, heterocyclic amines, etc.
