In vitro studies using Sprague-Dawley rats have demonstrated that 6-chlorochromone reduces triglyceride levels in the blood and prevents the formation of atherosclerotic plaques. This compound has also been shown to be magnetic, crystallizes, and diffracts at a high resolution.
