Descrizione:Chlorotris(trimethylsilyl)silane is a chlorosilane with a trifluoromethyl group and one other organic group. It can be prepared by thermal decomposition of chlorotrimethylsilane. Chlorotris(trimethylsilyl)silane has been used in the synthesis of branched-chain alkanes and cycloalkanes, as well as in the preparation of molecular fragments for use in organometallic syntheses. This molecule absorbs ultraviolet light strongly at 254 nm, making it useful for measurements of UV absorption spectra.
