Descrizione:2-Chloroaniline is a chemical compound with the formula CHClNH. It is a colorless liquid that causes skin irritation and can be toxic to humans. 2-Chloroaniline has been shown to cause genotoxic effects in human cells and to induce DNA strand breaks, primarily through reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. The toxicity of 2-chloroaniline is mainly due to its ability to react with sodium carbonate present in wastewater treatment plants and form chlorinated hydrocarbons. 2-Chloroaniline has been shown to have synergistic effects when combined with other chemicals such as nitrosamines, which are known carcinogens.
2-Chloroaniline can be used for plasma mass spectrometry studies for clinical pathology as it has been found to bind covalently with proteins in the body.
