Descrizione:L-Cystine-DI-beta-naphthylamide (L-CDN) is a drug that is used to prevent preterm labor. It is a synthetic amino acid that has been shown to be effective in preventing premature birth in women with high levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). L-CDN inhibits the activity of aminopeptidase, which is an enzyme involved in the hydrolysis of proteins into their constituent amino acids. L-CDN binds to the active site of aminopeptidases and prevents them from hydrolyzing proteins. This prevents the breakdown of hCG, which is needed for pregnancy. L-CDN has been shown to be safe for use in animals, but more research needs to be done on its safety for humans.
