• Descrizione: N-Vanillylnonanamide is a capsaicin analog that has been used to study the effects of capsaicin on energy metabolism and bowel disease. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of bowel disease, by inhibiting the production of proinflammatory cytokines and prostaglandins. N-Vanillylnonanamide inhibits neuronal death induced by cytosolic Ca2+, which may be due to its ability to stimulate the translocation of an intracellular transport protein. This drug also has antioxidant properties, being able to scavenge reactive oxygen species. N-Vanillylnonanamide is a natural compound with potential anti-cancer activity, as it induces apoptosis in cancer cells at low concentrations.
