Descrizione:Cyasterone is a synthetic cytotoxic compound that exhibits significant cytotoxicity against a variety of human cancer cell lines. Cyasterone activates the transcription of a number of genes by binding to response elements in the presence of growth factors. Cyasterone also binds and inhibits protein synthesis, which may be due to its ability to inhibit histones acetylation. In addition, cyasterone has been shown to bind and activate epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase. This activation leads to an increase in cellular proliferation and angiogenesis, which may contribute to the antitumor properties of cyasterone.
