Tixocortol 21-pivalate-d9 is a corticosteroid that is chemically stable at room temperature. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. Tixocortol 21-pivalate-d9 binds to the glucocorticoid receptor, which regulates many aspects of the immune response and inflammation. It also has been used for alopecia areata, allergic symptoms, and bowel disease. Tixocortol 21-pivalate-d9 is a low potency corticosteroid that has clinical relevance in the treatment of skin cancer and benzalkonium chloride.
