2-Sulfamoylacetamide is an immunotherapy that modulates the immune system by inhibiting the enzyme IDO1. This drug has shown to be a potent inhibitor of IDO1 in nanomolar concentrations and has been found to be safe in clinical trials with humans. 2-Sulfamoylacetamide inhibits IDO1 activity, which leads to increased levels of tryptophan in the body and subsequently higher levels of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO2).
