Informazioni sul prodotto
EMPA is a water-soluble amine salt that is used as a corrosion inhibitor. It prevents the corrosion of metal surfaces by blocking the activity of enzymes that break down proteins and other organic materials. EMPA has been shown to inhibit proteases and also has cytosolic Ca2+ ion binding properties. EMPA can be used for sample preparation for amino acid analysis, and in detergent compositions for removing protein stains from clothes. The analog of EMPA is methyldiethanolamine (MDEA).
EMPA is an organic compound with the formula CH3CH2NH2. It is soluble in water, but not in ethanol or ether. EMPA has an ammoniacal odor at low concentrations, but this odor disappears at higher concentrations due to its volatility.
