Descrizione

2,3-Dihydroxybenzoic acid is an antioxidant found in many plants. It has a protective effect against oxidative injury. 2,3-Dihydroxybenzoic acid has been used as a model for the study of infectious diseases and its effects on biological studies. This compound has been shown to prevent the growth of Aerobacter aerogenes and Dinucleotide phosphate. 2,3-Dihydroxybenzoic acid is also used as an ingredient in sephadex g-100 and it acts as an antimicrobial agent that prevents microbial growth in wastewater treatment systems.
