Informazioni sul prodotto
- Benzoic acid, 3,5-dihydroxy-, hydrazide
3,5-Dihydroxybenzohydrazide is a white crystalline solid that has been shown to have anticancer properties. This compound is hydrolyzed in vivo to 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid and hydrazine. 3,5-Dihydroxybenzohydrazide has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth by binding to metal ions such as chloride and forming an imine bond with the DNA of the cancer cells. In vitro studies have shown that this compound is toxic to tumour cells but not normal cells. It is also used as a chemical intermediate for other organic compounds.
