Descrizione

2,3-Dimethoxybenzoic acid is a metal chelate that has been shown to have in vitro antifungal activity. It is also a 5-membered heteroaryl amide with inhibitory properties against proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-1β. 2,3-Dimethoxybenzoic acid has been found to have inhibitory effects on the metabolism of cholesterol and other lipids, which may be due to its ability to bind with serum proteins. This compound has also been shown to have antiinflammatory activity in human serum.
