Descrizione:Cis-2-Dodecenoic acid is a fatty acid that has been shown to inhibit bacterial protease activity and act as an antimicrobial agent. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of human pathogens such as Burkholderia, Acinetobacter, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Mycoplasma. The crystal structure of cis-2-dodecenoic acid has been determined by x-ray crystallography. Cis-2-Dodecenoic acid also inhibits transcriptional regulation and signal transduction in bacteria. Cis-2-Dodecenoic acid is not active against wild type strains of bacteria such as Galleria mellonella or other insects.
