Dimethyl 7,7'-dimethoxy-[4,4'-bibenzo[d][1,3]dioxole]-5,5'-dicarboxylate is a biocompatible polymer that can be used in the treatment of liver injury. It has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on hepatic enzyme activities and synchronous fluorescence. Dimethyl 7,7'-dimethoxy-[4,4'-bibenzo[d][1,3]dioxole]-5,5'-dicarboxylate can be used as a matrix for curcuma aromatica to remove wastewater contaminants. This polymer also has the ability to inhibit monoethyl ether-induced liver injury in low-dose groups and reduce hepatitis B virus replication.
