• Descrizione: 5-(N,N-Dibenzylglycyl)-salicylamide (DBG) is a nucleophilic reagent that reacts with carbinols to form salicylates. It is soluble in ethyl acetate and methanol and has been used in the production of salicylates. This compound has shown no toxic effects on rats. The reaction products are nontoxic and do not contain a carbinol group. DBG can be used industrially without risk, as it decomposes at high temperatures. DBG can react with an ethyl acetate or methanol solution to produce salicylates, which are nontoxic compounds that do not contain a carbinol group.
