• Descrizione: 4,6-Di-tert-butyl-2-methylphenol (BHT) is a phenolic antioxidant that is used in a variety of applications. It is also an additive for gasoline and diesel fuel to prevent the formation of engine deposits. BHT has been shown to be effective as a long-term stabilizer in biodiesel. In addition, it has been shown to inhibit the autoxidation of cyclohexene to cyclohexanone by acting as an antioxidant. BHT is soluble in organic solvents such as benzene and ethers, but insoluble in water.
