2,4-Diaminophenoxyethanol is a chemical that is used to produce 2,4-diaminophenyldiethylene glycol. It has been shown to have insulin-sensitizing effects in diabetic animal models. The mechanism of action of this drug is not yet known, but it may be due to its ability to act on the enzyme sucrose synthase. This drug has also been shown to reduce blood pressure in rats and humans. 2,4-Diaminophenoxyethanol can be detected by analytical methods such as plate tests and sectioning. Clinical data has shown that this drug can cause adverse reactions such as hyperglycemia and fluid retention. There are no reports of carcinogenic or genotoxic properties for this drug.
