Descrizione:Desonide 21-acetate is a steroid that belongs to the group of medicines called topical corticosteroids. It is a synthetic, non-halogenated corticosteroid that has been approved for the treatment of dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis. Desonide 21-acetate is an esterification product of desonide and acetic acid and is used for the treatment of skin disorders such as atopic dermatitis or psoriasis. It has been shown to be effective in reducing the inflammation associated with these diseases. Desonide 21-acetate can be measured quantitatively by liquid chromatography and validated by instrumental techniques such as electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). This drug can also be used as an analytical method for other drugs that are structurally similar to it, including other esters of desonide with different acids.
