Descrizione:3,7-Dimethyl-1,3,6-octatriene is a terpene that can be used in vitro to study the effects of polymers on cell proliferation and signal pathways. 3,7-Dimethyl-1,3,6-octatriene has been shown to have cationic polymerization activity and biological properties that are similar to those of other terpenes. It is also a model system for studying the effects of polymers on cell proliferation and signal pathways. The reaction mechanism of 3,7-dimethyl-1,3,6-octatriene is not well understood at this time. However, it has been shown to polymerize in the presence of certain cationic initiators. 3,7-Dimethyl-1,3,6-octatriene does not polymerize in the presence of anionic initiators such as sodium chloride or ammonium chloride. This molecule has been shown to react with water vapor and signal pathways
