Daphnin is a natural product that is extracted from the leaves of the Daphne plant. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells in vivo and in vitro. The molecular modeling study found that daphnin interacts with epidermal growth factor (EGF) by steric interactions and inhibits cellular transformation. Daphnin also inhibits protein synthesis through its effects on collagen synthesis. Daphnin has been shown to have high anti-inflammatory properties, as it inhibits the production of prostaglandins, which are necessary for inflammation.
