Descrizione:Dibenzothiophene is a heterocyclic compound with two aromatic rings and one sulfur atom. It is tetranuclear, emitting light in the visible spectrum. Crystallographic studies of dibenzothiophene have shown that it has a number of different coordination modes. These include supramolecular, ligand, and π-π interactions. Dibenzothiophene can be used to transmetallate other metal ions such as anions, halides, and transfer agents. Dibenzothiophenes are also capable of forming dimers through a combination of π-π interactions and hydrogen bonding.
