Descrizione:Polymer-bound diethylenetriamine (PETD) is a synthetic polymer that has been used as a chelating agent and metal sequestering agent. PETD binds to metals through hydrogen bonding interactions and can be used for wastewater treatment and the removal of heavy metals from water, such as copper and lead. PETD has also been shown to have an antimicrobial effect on bacteria in human serum, and is effective against liver lesions caused by certain metals.
