Descrizione:Deschloro atovaquone is a drug that is used to treat HIV. It is an antiretroviral drug with pharmacokinetic properties that are similar to those of chloroquine, which inhibits the growth of the virus by interfering with DNA synthesis. Deschloro atovaquone has been shown to decrease the plasma concentrations of HIV in patients and has been found to be useful in treating encephalitis caused by Toxoplasma gondii and other viruses. It has also been shown to be effective against patients with immunodeficiency diseases.
