Descrizione

Ciclopirox is a synthetic drug that is used in the treatment of fungal infections. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of the cell membrane and cell wall, which prevents cell division. Ciclopirox can be synthesized from nicotine and pyridine, which are both natural products. The pharmacokinetics of this drug were first studied in 1968. Ciclopirox has been shown to have chemotherapeutic properties and medicinal effects on humans. It is currently being researched for use as a chemotherapy agent against cancer cells that have a high number of nuclei or nucleus-like structures.
