N-Desmethyl clozapine is a metabolite of the anti-psychotic drug clozapine. It has been shown to have similar effects to clozapine and can be used as an alternative treatment for chronic schizophrenia. N-Desmethyl clozapine was found to have a longer half-life than the parent compound, with a detection limit of 1 ng/mL in human serum.
