Dexamethasone 21-(3-phenylpropionate) is a corticosteroid that is used for the treatment of a variety of inflammatory skin conditions. Dexamethasone 21-(3-phenylpropionate) has been shown to be effective in the treatment of cutaneous lesions in mice and rabbits. This drug also has an anti-inflammatory effect, which may be due to its ability to inhibit cytokine production. Dexamethasone 21-(3-phenylpropionate) is not metabolized by liver enzymes and has a long half life, making it more predictable than prednisolone. This medication should not be used during pregnancy or if you are trying to become pregnant, as it may cause abortion or premature birth.
