Descrizione:6-Dehydroprogesterone is a synthetic chiral compound that binds to the receptor α, which is also known as progesterone receptor. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of prostatic hypertrophy. 6-Dehydroprogesterone is used in biochemical research as a substrate for studying enzymes and receptors. It has also been shown to have anti-cancer properties by inhibiting the growth of human mammary cancer cells, MCF-7 cells. 6-Dehydroprogesterone has been shown to inhibit efflux pumps and cytochrome P450 enzymes, which may contribute to its anti-inflammatory effects. The effective dose for 6DHP ranges from 1 mg/kg/day up to 20 mg/kg/day.
