It is also a potential source of primary amino groups that are used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. 3,5-Dichloropyridazine has been shown to have a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
