2,4-Difluorobenzaldehyde is a glycosidic bond compound that is chiral. It has been shown to be able to inhibit human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and inflammatory bowel disease. 2,4-Difluorobenzaldehyde is also an inhibitor of cholesterol ester transfer protein that can lead to autoimmune diseases.
