The compound is activated by the addition of a base in order to form an amine or glucuronide conjugate. 2,5-Difluoroaniline has been shown to inhibit γ-secretase activity in human liver cells and urine samples. This compound also has low energy levels which may be responsible for its ability to inhibit γ-secretase activity at low concentrations.
