1,4-Dioxane-2,5-dione is a natural compound that belongs to the group of heterocyclic compounds. It has been shown to possess significant cytotoxicity against cancer cells in cell culture and was found to be an effective inhibitor of cationic polymerization. 1,4-Dioxane-2,5-dione has also been found to have biological properties by inhibiting the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) pathway. FTIR spectroscopy has confirmed that 1,4-dioxane-2,5-dione can form polymeric matrices with cationic polymers. The diameter and hydroxyl group of 1,4-dioxane-2,5-dione are both significant factors in its chemical structures and reactions with other molecules.
