Descrizione

Dazomet is a fumigant that is used to control insect pests of stored grains and other agricultural products. Dazomet is activated by hydrochloric acid, which activates the aromatic hydrocarbon in the presence of fatty acids to form a reactive intermediate. This intermediate reacts with the enzyme activities of the insect cell membrane, resulting in cell death. Dazomet is also used as an insecticide for termites and other pests, but it has not been widely used for these purposes due to its toxicity. The chronic effects of dazomet exposure include fluorescein angiography abnormalities, molecular changes in enzymes, cardiac glycosides, and fungi. It can be used as a radical prostatectomy agent or as a fumigant for dry weight measurements.br>br>
