Descrizione:Direct Blue 199 is a fluorescent dye used in the textile and paper industries. This dye has been shown to reduce the amount of copper found in wastewater by up to 50%. Direct Blue 199 can be used as an indicator of how well a wastewater treatment plant is working. The presence of this dye indicates that the plant is not functioning properly and should be monitored. Direct Blue 199 can also be used to monitor anthropogenic releases, such as those from mines or smelters. It has been shown that effluent containing Direct Blue 199 contains higher concentrations of copper than effluent without this dye.
