It inhibits the function of this transporter and may be used to reduce drug resistance. 6,7-Dimethoxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline is an interacting agent with receptor binding properties. This compound has also been shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation in breast cancer cells resistant to antiestrogens. 6,7-Dimethoxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline is a chemical ionization agent that reacts with water in the gas phase to produce reactive electrophilic species capable of reacting with nucleophiles in biological systems.
