Descrizione

2,7-Dimethylocta-2,4,6-triene-1,8-dial is an organic compound that is used as a synthetic intermediate and in the synthesis of carotenoids. It can be synthesized by condensation of ethyl bromoacetate with geranyl acetate in acetonitrile. The compound has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against several strains of fungus.
