• Descrizione: 2-(Dimethylamino)-6-dodecanoylnaphthalene (2DODN) is a fluorescent probe that interacts with cell membranes and has been shown to be cytotoxic. This compound also has high values for phase transition temperature, fluorescence and emission. 2DODN is used as a fluorescence probe in the study of HIV infection and can be used to measure the fatty acid composition of cellular membranes. 2DODN has been shown to bind to hiv viral envelope protein gp120 and inhibit its function. 2DODN binds to model systems such as k562 cells, which are primary cells derived from human erythrocytes and can be used for titration calorimetry measurements.
