Descrizione:
N,N-Didodecyl methylamine is a fatty alcohol that is used as an energy-efficient wetting and conditioning agent in detergent compositions. It has been shown to have a hydroxy group which reacts with metal hydroxides to form insoluble metal soaps. This compound can also be synthesized by reacting the amines with molybdenum. The reaction mechanism of this compound is generally considered to be an addition type of substitution reaction.
