Descrizione:1,3-Dimethylimidazolium chloride is an ionic liquid that is used as a solvent in the analytical method of gravimetric analysis. It has been shown to be a good solvent for cellulose and hydrochloric acid, with properties similar to those of water. 1,3-Dimethylimidazolium chloride has also been shown to undergo hydrogen bonding interactions with nitrogen atoms and hydrogen bond interactions with the chemical structures of crystalline cellulose. This product is also used in FT-IR spectroscopy to study reaction mechanisms.
